Tiffany Poon

Biography

Tiffany Poon is a pianist whose work centers on interpretation, atmosphere, and emotional precision. She approaches classical music as a living language, shaping sound and silence with intention and clarity, and allowing meaning to emerge through listening rather than explanation. Working from within the music itself, Tiffany privileges texture, pacing, and internal logic. Praised for her “beautiful sound, sensitivity and expressive nuance” (International Piano Magazine), her performances invite focus and presence, creating space for audiences of all generations to encounter classical works as something immediate and felt.

Tiffany’s recording projects reflect a sustained inquiry into identity, memory, and authorship. Her most recent album, Nature, recorded at Miraval Studios with Grammy-winning producer Damien Quintard, is contemplative and intimate, favoring presence over spectacle. The album was met with critical acclaim, with Gramophone praising her “astonishing virtuosity and tongue-in-cheek humour” and describing her interpretations as “borne of a rare affinity and profound understanding”. Nature Nature reached No. 1 on Apple Classical.

Tiffany’s first album Diaries: Schumann, explored questions of growth and self-definition through an intimate engagement with the composer’s inner world. The project extended beyond the recording, unfolding through live performance and the digital space, and reached audiences well outside traditional classical contexts. The album charted No. 1 on Billboard Traditional Classical Albums and Apple Classical. In 2025, Tiffany was awarded the Robert Schumann Prize of the City of Zwickau, honoring her contribution to the composer’s legacy in concert and in the digital space.

In the 2025/26 season, Tiffany toured Europe featuring a programme inspired by Nature, returning to London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, performing in Leipzig, Zwickau and Frankfurt, Germany, and making debut appearances at the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) and Salle Gaveau (Paris). Tiffany also made her debut at Vancouver Recital Society, and will give a U.S. Nature recital tour Nature‎ including a return to San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre.

Recent highlights include debut recital performances at New York City’s iconic Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, Benaroya Hall (Seattle), The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage (Santa Monica) and Muziekgebouw (Amsterdam).
