A New High-Flying Season!

One Sunday afternoon each month, Opus Cortot invites you to a rich musical experience.
of encounters, sharing, and emotion. The format is original: the first part
performed by the students of the École Normale de Musique de Paris, followed by a Tea-Time interlude
and a second part performed by international soloists. In addition to these
over seven Sundays, two special evenings will be held in December 2025 and June 2026
2026.
This new season will offer audiences the opportunity to discover rare performers on
French stages, including violinist Géza Hosszu-Legocky, conductor
Ivan Velikanov, and the Berlin Philharmonic String Quintet. Three leading
representatives of French wind instruments are invited: trumpeter David Guerrier,
flutist Julien Beaudiment, and clarinetist Patrick Messina. Alongside
major repertoire works — including the complete Chopin Nocturnes performed by Bruno Rigutto,
Brahms’ Violin Sonatas, and Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du soldat — the program
will feature unexpected pieces, notably unpublished arrangements for flute
and piano of Ravel’s works. The artists will also celebrate Halloween and Christmas
with audiences in November and December.
